If you weren’t sure about going to Dour this year because it’s a festival that attracts not only cutting edge artists but also a crowd that balances that very same edge and sometimes goes way beyond it…
The people from De Invasie went to the great NYC and were happy to take POSTRmagazine with them.
One would be inclined to forget, what with all the giant catastrophic oil spills polluting half the planet, our country’s Little League political elections and of course the World Cup footy taking place in South Africa, but the world is at war. Even as we speak, blood is seeping into shell-strewn sandy pavements and missile-blasted [...]
Where were you last time, when we were incinerating our voting letters at the first edition of Grill The Vote? If you weren’t in Gent, frying ribs and flipping burgers, you better make sure you are present this time so all your intellectual friends won’t think you’re a complete fraud after Election Day.
On June 13 we, citizens of Belgium, are all expected to step inside a voting booth and colour a dot, preferably in red. Many of us however don’t really feel like doing this, others do but don’t really believe in the power behind this gesture anymore.
That’s why we and the people from Ladda are organizing a Political Debate on May 25 at Sirena Contemporary Pop in Ghent.
The great people at Stack Magazines have included POSTRmagazine #5: The Art Issue in their May delivery.
We say thank you to that and hope to be in there again next year!
POSTRmagazine is undoing the building Just like Gordon Matta-Clark would have done it In the midst of distributing our latest episodic pamphlet in front of the Royal Palace in Antwerp – which recently became a grotesque and gluttonous hideout for true chocolate devotees – we noticed that it will be a tough job to make [...]
We are happy to announce that POSTRmagazine will be a part of the Art For Free project organised by La revue Daté at the ArtByGenève fair from April 28 ’till May 2. Art For Free is a project that collects magazines and other publications from all over the world, that talk about art. The thing [...]
We have chosen the winners of our “Will snap for stuff” competition. So without further ado, here they are with a small explanation of why they won.
Remember what happened when we went to Colophon? All that gratuitous boozehoundery, flinging of random obscenities and overall out-of-place-in-the-inner-circle-behaviour? O.K. Festival (April 16-17-18 in Arnhem) apparently does not, because they – for some bizarre and inexplicable reason, namely that they like our publication – have invited the POSTRmagazine-staff to come and share our ill-adjusted personalities [...]
“If it’s aesthetically justified to revolt for a proper art policy, then our revolution starts today.” Sometimes a revolution needs nothing but a single shove to break loose once more. Maybe an admitted incompetent Minister of Culture – succeeding a couple of equally incompetent yet indifferent and unmeddling Ministers of Culture – who turns the [...]
Rewind Store invites POSTRmagazine to celebrate our first year of making a Counter-Culture Chronicle and the release of our new Art issue. What can you expect you ask? Well, first and foremost visitors can pick up their free copy of POSTRmagazine of course. Second, because the theme of this issue is Art we couldn’t just [...]
So you love pictures and taking them. Well, we here at POSTRmagazine do so too, which is why we are working together with the nice folks at Lomography: in order to share our mutual passion for depictive storytelling with two separate audiences who might turn out to have more in common than they might think. [...]
We’re back with a new issue of the most critical and least considerate magazine you’ll ever get for free. This time around, we are going to give the artworld a nice old kick in the shins. Why? Because it’s a naughty little world that has gotten completely out of hand and it needs some long-overdue [...]
POSTRmagazine went to Bread and Butter Berlin to make sure people had something interesting to read and to party with the good people from Supremebeing who provided a supreme ad for our Money issue. While we were there we found some good locations for ourr magazine so as of now you can find POSTRmagazine at [...]
The communication agency Sweet Lemon, based in Brussels, did a nice review of POSTRmagazine on their blog. So get over there and while you’re at it read the other articles as well. Interesting stuff there. Read the full review here. Share on Facebook
A quick impression of our None Dollar Bill handout we did in Brussels on December 7th. To our own surprise it were the people with shiny suits and ties who liked our action and choice of weapon the most. Share on Facebook
We’re not going to beat about the bush here: this post has no relevance whatsoever if you insist on comparing it with the rest of our editorial content. However, it does feature nobody other than beautiful singer Santigold learning how to play polo. Like, the actual polo that you play on a horse, with a [...]
If you want to be absolutely sure that you can tell your future grandchildren that you were once an accomplice in a devious money counterfeiting scheme, you’ll want to join the POSTRmagazine staff at one of our upcoming None Dollar Bill-handouts where we will be – duh- handing out our custom POSTRmagazine None Dollar Bills.
We’re back like an uncaring bailiff collecting an outstanding debt. During the past three months we submerged ourselves into the smelly, murky depths of humanity’s financial waters to finally resurface with the murdered truth between our claws. We’re still scrubbing off the stink that clings to our filth-stained minds, but as always, our unrelenting efforts [...]
Nalden is a busy guy who’s into a lot of different stuff, so we’re not going to slight the man by just calling him a blogger. His superseding of the online realm is evinced once again with ‘One Night Stand’, an event organised by Nalden where people will be exchanging ideas, thoughts and art for one [...]
Filthy rich scum* of the Earth beware, the new POSTRmagazine is finished and going into production as we speak. To celebrate our 4th issue and conclude our first year with a certain sense of accomplishment, we went after one of the biggest fish we could think of: money. What you can expect to read: a [...]
I’m going to be completely honest with you here. I’m no expert when it comes to money. My money is usually already spent before it actually hits my bank account. I pretty much live my life in the twilight-zone between broke and financially solvent. I’m one of those people who needed to be told there [...]
